Engineering Change ... LIVE!
Join Amy McGrath for Engineering Change, live in Los Angeles on September 27
Join us for a special in-person Engineering Change event featuring Amy McGrath!Â
This live event will take place in the historic Herald Examiner Building, downtown Los Angeles and 11am PST on Tues, September 27th.
Former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villagraigosa will introduce Amy McGrath, and then I’ll moderate a conversation between Amy and all of you in attendance on the challenges and opportunities facing women in the military and those Amy faced during her run for public office. In particular we’ll explore themes we began thinking about in the recent Unfair Nation episode featuring an interview with our own Difference Engine fellow Dulce Vasquez.
Light refreshments will be served.
We know that more equitable representation in our elected leaders leads to more equality. So, why do we make it so hard for those not already embedded in the system to run? How do we better share lessons learned from running? How do we make public service in elected roles more attainable for those willing to serve?
